From visual art exhibitions and visiting artist lectures to film, theatre, and dance performances, arts audiences will find something for everyone at the University of Dayton. All events are open to the public, and most are free.

Open parking is available in single-letter lots after 7:30 pm Monday through Thursday, after 4:30 pm Friday, and all day on the weekend. A parking permit is required at all other times and can be obtained at the main visitor center on the University circle or the parking booth at Lot C on Evanston Avenue. Arts Series
For nearly 50 years, the UD Arts Series has brought hundreds
of artists to campus, opening the programs to the community as well. Funded by
the College of Arts and Sciences, the programs have ranged from poetry and
drama, to music, dance and the visual arts. These selections reflect the revised mission statement of the Arts Series to sponsor “distinctive, varied and engaging arts events to enrich the cultural life of our
community.”

ArtStreet
ArtStreet is an innovative learning and living arts complex located in the heart of the South Student Neighborhood at the University of Dayton. Many ArtStreet programs are open to the public, including visual arts workshops, film screenings, art exhibits and live music performances. Come explore your creative side at ArtStreet!

Department of Music
The Department of Music offers degree programs including the Bachelor of Music, with majors in performance, composition, music therapy or music education; and the Bachelor of Arts, with a major in music. The Department of Music, a fully accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music, also offers a wide variety of free concerts throughout the year.

Department of Visual Arts
The Department of Visual Arts at the University of Dayton teaches
the perceptual, practical, and critical skill necessary for the creation
and understanding of art and design in a variety of media and contexts. The department
emphasizes the highly integrative nature of art and design and their
immense cultural and personal importance. The Rike Gallery, as part of the educational mission of the Department
of Visual Arts, serves to highlight the work of students, faculty, and invited
professional artists.

Theatre Program
The Theatre Program offers a Bachelor of Arts in theatre available through the Department of Communication. Students receive instruction in acting, directing, stage movement, stage design, technical production, critical analysis and theatre history. The theatre program produces three mainstage theatre productions and two dance performances each year, as well as a multitude of student-run productions.
